RI same-sex marriage Would Boost State Budget by Over $1M, study finds

A new research study released today by the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law shows that allowing same-sex couples to marry in Rhode Island would boost the state budget by more than $1 million over three years. This net impact would result from an increase in state income and sales tax revenue as well as savings in expenditures on state means-tested public benefit programs....
