Republican lawmakers push Minnesota constitutional ban on gay marriage
Ensuring a spirited debate for several weeks -- if not more than a year -- Minnesota Republican lawmakers Tuesday announced a plan for a state constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
The plan, contained in a bill to be introduced in the Senate today, is for the amendment to be placed on the 2012 general election ballot.
