Gov. John Hickenlooper (D-Colorado) officially signed the order on Thursday afternoon to initiate a special legislative session for Colorado lawmakers that will start on Monday.

Hickenlooper announced the start date on Thursday morning. He's hoping during this special session lawmakers will once again consider civil unions for same-sex couples.
