Today Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) announced his support for the Respect for Marriage Act, making him the 32nd sponsor of the landmark bill that would repeal the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Sen. Menendez came out in support of the freedom to marry and in favor of repealing the so-called Defense of Marriage Act in an opinion editorial in the Star Ledger, New Jersey's largest newspaper.
