A bill seeking a constitutional amendment to define marriage as strictly between a man and a woman is being introduced at the Rhode Island Statehouse.

The bill from Rep. Jon Brien, being introduced Thursday, calls for a 2012 ballot question on whether same-sex marriages should be recognized as legal in Rhode Island.
