The key statement there, at least to us, is that evidence shows that the presence of gays (and lesbians!) does not undermine unit cohesion in the armed services. Contrary to what you might read over at the Center for Military Readiness, that's just a simple fact - gays and lesbians do not harm unit cohesion, do not negatively impact unit recruitment or retention, and do not harm military morale.
